Plain-text parts get rendered as a pre block, which keeps every line as it is. Any line wider than the preview overflows it, so reading such a mail requires scrolling sideways for each of those lines. On the desktop this happens for long lines, for example from clients that send each paragraph as a single line. On phones it affects nearly every text mail, as the mobile quarantine UI fits only about 45 characters per line on a typical screen. Let the browser wrap such lines while keeping the existing line breaks and spacing, and also break words that are wider than the preview, like long URLs. Text that depends on fixed columns, like tables drawn with characters, loses its alignment where a line gets wrapped. The raw view stays unwrapped, as it is meant to show the mail source unchanged.
