Goal: scalable metrics + alerting, dashboards as code.

  • migrate to victoria metrics — replace current TSDB with VictoriaMetrics
  • use git for grafana dashboards — provision dashboards from git (JSON in repo)
  • install alertmanager — deploy Alertmanager
  • add alerting rules — define alert rules feeding Alertmanager
